Accessing affordable clinical nutrition services is easier now than ever. It’s important, though, to receive updated, science-backed dietary counseling. Some use the terms certified nutritionist and nutritionist interchangeably. Anybody can call themselves a nutritionist; whereas, a Clinical Nutritionist, or Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN) is a professional who holds a bachelor’s degree in clinical nutrition or a master’s degree in human nutrition, have completed at least 15 courses of core nutrition science, complete at least 900 hours of internship, then sit for a national board exam.
Each CCN (Certified Clinical Nutritionist) must meet rigorous requirements to maintain their certification, including 40 hours of continued education courses every two years, attendance to two CCN annual Scientific Symposiums, and a recertificaation every five years.
Our team of online Clinical Nutritionists believes that nutrition education is essential to any dietary intervention. By working one-on-one with patients, we develop diet plans based on their unique nutrition needs and wellness goals.
Any effective nutrition intervention begins with a meticulous analysis of your lifestyle, eating behaviors, deficiencies and excesses in your diet. Important additional information we’ll require is your medical, medication, and supplement history. This allows us to develop a diet plan with you so that you can be more confident in your food choices. Feel healthier, and live a more vital life.

Many use the terms ‘dietitian’ and ‘nutritionist’ interchangeably. Be aware that only a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) meets rigorous academic requirements with clinical training. To be called an RDN, you must have a degree from an accredited university. Our team of virtual dietitians must stay informed of guidelines set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to maintain their certification as well as provide our patients with expert online nutrition counseling.
