A body composition test is a way for your online dietitian nutritionist to find out what your body is made of. We use the Inbody 270 Body Composition Analyzer. In less than a minute, it can measure your body fat, muscle, and water levels. This is done through bio-electrical impedance.
This information gives your nutrition specialist key information to develop a diet plan to help you lose or gain weight, gain muscle mass, and provide important information for competitive athletes.
Many people spend their lives on a scale, watching their weight go up and down. However, your BMI and weight can be deceptive. Information from body composition testing can provide your online nutritionist with the information they need to come up with a diet plan to lose fat, not muscle. We get accurate information to individualize a weight maintenance plan, optimize your sports performance, or build muscle mass.
Repeating measurements will help us track progress. Also, this is a great way to keep you motivated and on track with your online weight loss or weight gain program. For athletes — amateur and professional — knowing your body composition can provide your dietitian specialist with the information they need to develop an individualized plan according to your unique needs.

Many use the terms ‘dietitian’ and ‘nutritionist’ interchangeably. Be aware that only a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) meets rigorous academic requirements with clinical training. To be called an RDN, you must have a degree from an accredited university. Our team of virtual dietitians must stay informed of guidelines set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to maintain their certification as well as provide our patients with expert online nutrition counseling.
